Maternity leave pay query

Thank you for all your replies. I suspected it would be too good to be true. Shame. I really hoped I would be able to get by for another month, especially since I am not trying to get anything I am not entitled to. Just holiday pay and basic smp, but the combination is not allowed.

Nevermind. I suppose I am lucky to get 6 month off full pay.
Thanks again.0 -
Will you qualify for tax credits? If so, when you estimate your income for the 2011/12 tax year you can deduct £100 for each week you are on maternity leave and in receipt of maternity pay. This could give you some extra income from tax credits?Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

our holiday year runs from january to december. My company used to pay any untaken days at the end of december but because too many people have used this system to up their salary that way they have now scrapped it and basically we lose any untaken days apart from the 3 we are allowed to carry over.
not completely relevant to the thread but they may have stopped doing this because its against the law to buy back any of your minimum entitlement.Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0 -

Apologies. I should have made this clearer. Any holidays not taken apart from the minimum legal requirement used to be paid out if so wished. But now we would lose them apart from 3 we are allowed to carry over.0 -
You will be entitled to 26 weeks full pay and 13 weeks SMP. Also they have to allow you to take the holiday you have accrued whilst on Maternity Leave, even if this goes into another holiday year http://www.businesslink.gov.uk/bdotg/action/detail?itemId=1080902982&type=RESOURCES0
