Could you put a picnic blanket on the table as a table cloth?

    Thank you everyone!
Im loving the ideas, and I think we have decided to go for baskets instead now!
I love the idea about having the picnic blanket as a table cloth - thanks twirlypinky.
Mrs Drink - that is eactly what the OH said! People would think it was odd if I had a traditional wedding cause that isnt me! I also will be wearing a red dress and carrying a bouquet of lollipops! So yeh im not normal......lol

Im thinking of things like this for the food :
mushroom tartlet, spinach and ricotta tartlet, brie with cranberry parcels, Mini Goat's Cheese & Mushroom Frittatas, Mini Cheese & Tomato Frittatas, Selection Of Sarnies, Bread Rolls, Pork Pies, Coleslaw, Potato Salad, Pasta Salad, Lettuce salad, Kettle Crisps & Selection Cheese

    What do you think?

  • Loving this idea, not sure it's right for me & DF, but I think it's a great idea! Were you thinking of including desert in there? If so, pots of Jelly/victoria sponges may work well?

    Xmas Saver!
You have to have a proper old fashioned desert trolley going around, with trifles and cupcakes, and spongecake, and whipped cream etc etc for desert!

If you have a red dress then red gingham tablecloths would go with that and the picnic basket theme too.

BustyB, I love the idea. The food you have described sounds lovely - I especially like the sound of the lollipops bouquet (are you going to throw the bouquet at the end? Will they separate into a shower of lovely lollies?)

lawrie28 - Ooooh I love that idea! We are going to have lots of cakes, so thats a great idea and wont take up much space!

lindens - Funnily enough my OH said that red gingham tablecloths would be good today! So yes we are going to have them :)

Wiggychick - Yes making that list made me very hungry lol. I hadnt thought about throwing it, but that sounds good! A shower of lollies :D
