Family Tax Credit Query

I have just got a new job and my hours are changing from 32 to 40 and my earnings going from £8.000 to £12,000 I checked tax caculator and it said im only entiltled to £10 a week on these earnings. Can you let me know if my payments will change straight away or do they still go on last years lower earnings as I am worried I will be overpayed if this is the case .
Thanks in advance

  • R u sure it was £10 a week?? The tax credit calculator will prob only calculate what u would be entitled to from now up until 5th april this year so whatever your calculation was for the year it will only need to be divided by about 5 weeks, rather than 52 weeks!! Hope this makes sense for you lol!!
