  • I'm told that if the sending or recieving banks faster pay system is busy it won't go through, I take it its for less than the £500 limit that lloyds have for fast pay?

LTSB's limit for FPS is £15,000.

Oh, i wonder why i've been told its £500 then, I wonder if its the method you use to make the transaction. i.e Phonebank, internet banking transfer etc.

If for a current a/c, why not use one of your Halifax ones? Not that I have any problems with Lloyds.

If it is a Vantage a/c for savings, then I can recommend them, as long as you can get into the 3% interest (£3k-£5k).

I made a FP from Lloyds for £1500 last week, so if there is a £500 limit it doesn't apply to online banking.

its the vantage one I would be getting...fund acct with wages and spend on credit card and then pay off in full each mth so usually leaves a good balance for most of the month, will also open one as pure savings account
Am with smile now and relativly happy with them...more happy with ethical approach than I am with their accounts at the minute though which is why I am looking around

25 years with Lloyds and never a mistake, and I do a lot of online juggling of money to catch good interest rates, also overseas trips. But nothing really complex, and I haven't used the telephone banking service.
