Trying to find a tv programme (news) (on demand etc)

Hi,

I am trying to find a tv programme from Weds 23 February 2011, but not having any luck.

It is Channel 5 news. I am also looking for Look North News for the same day.

So far I am just finding that the news doesn't seem to be on iplayer, on demand etc?

Have you tried this http://www.tvcatchup.com/ it allows you to do just that, catch up. You will need to register, which is a very simple thing of user name, I can't remember if you give email to authorise yourself and then a link, but if you do, they don't spam you. I will go and look for the 23 feb and come back.

No, that's not it, that simply allows you to view live tv, I'll do more searching.

OK, so I've made little or no progress and some companies have time restraints, What is the exact title of the channel five program and estimated transmission time.

As for the other, it is BBC Look Nth News ?

It is the channel 5 news programme, think it must be the 5 o'clock news. It is also BBC look north news, the dinner time 1pm, and tea time 5pm?

Just struggling to find news programmes on the catch up services.

If it's C5 news then you are not going to find it on BBC iPlayer...
If it's BBC, just got to iPlayer on the BBC site and search 'news', there are thousands of listings. However I have no idea if they archive the regional news programmes or not.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Don't want to sound blunt or anything, but I know the difference between iplayer / 5 on demand etc. Look north should be on iplayer, but isn't, 5 news should be on 5 on demand but isn't. I think it might be that they just don't make these news programmes available? I just don't know?

The story I am looking for is about my FIL, I can find the newspaper articles about it, but the problem is, somebody has deleted his sky plus recordings of the programme.

If you want to know about the story just google, "gary brennan motorbike".

If you go on local biker forums eg yorkshire strokers, you may contact someone who was at meet/ passed incident/had bike cam, etc.
I've looked for news d/l but nothing. Maybe if you or ,better, a closer family member or even fil ,approached look north/c5 ???

Contact the network, ask them if they can do you a copy of the item, offering (say) £20 for the Christmas fund ;-)

Yes think that is what he is going to do (contact the channels).

Thought I would have been lucky and been able to find it somewhere online, but it doesn't look like it.

Yes, you've just reminded me. When something happened in the RAF and my daughter appeared, it was shown on ITV Anglia and I asked the company if I could obtain a copy. I supplied all the details and they sent me a free cd showing the news article. Sorry I didn;t think of it before, but it was ages ago.
