    Happy Monday all.
Have had a bit of a roller coaster weekend, but starting Monday in a positive frame of mind.
I'm off to London for work overnight today, so not quite the nsd I'd like.

    Today I have/will:

Bought a flask of coffee for the train
Taxi to station but will claim back
Need to buy lunch but will be cheap
    Dinner will be on expenses
Need to claim my expenses on Wednesday, got a chunk to get back
Tomorrow is an all day conference, so food supplied
    Hoping for an nsd tomorrow
Will try and check cash back sites later
Signed up for march nsd challenge - aiming for 10
    All searches through swagbucks

Think that is all for now.
Have a good couple of days, won't be about tomorrow.

    Morning everyone.

Just a 1lb weight loss in the Monday morning weigh in this morning but, hey, a loss is a loss.

OH starts a new business venture today. A stall on the local indoor market, so been ferrying stock from home this morning. I'm on the train to work now, so will be working late tonight to make up the hours. I'm charging the phone on the train, so saving money without getting into trouble for using work's electricity :-)

    Today I have/will
    Walked to the station
Made sandwiches, so its only one £1 sandwich bought in the whole of Feb.
    Not smoke (day 62)
    Charge phone on train
    Have a NSD
Check banking, and make sure I've got enough in my current account to cover tomorrow's direct debits
Free coffee, biscuits and newspaper from my friend in the First Class lounge at the station

Struggling to think of anything else.

Cattyboo, sorry you haven't been feeling well, but good to hear that you are on the mend.
Starnac, its awful when you can't sleep. Hope you don't have things on your mind.

    Have a fab day everyone.

  • Thanks Karb, I'm feeling lots better today, my head doesn't feel like it's full of cotton wool any more and it's very refreshing to be able to breathe through my nose again! Congrats due to you on the weight loss (it's best to lose it slowly as it's more likely to stay off). You're making me look bad though as I've just eaten a Mars bar I found in my desk drawer...whoopsie!

    Hi everyone :hello:

Just popping in to see everyone :)

Wonder how Snoop is doing… She hasn't been on since her daughter got her new job - hope that means she's still too busy celebrating to post.

Cattyboo - I made a knitted cat teddy for my friends baby and I was looking for a name - Cattyboo was perfect (mainly because it rhymed with 'knitted for you') - hope you don't mind! :D

Got to work a bit later than I hoped today, but that was because I took time to have and enjoy breakfast and went to the shop for a cheap but pretty card and wrapping paper for a pal. Justified :D

Need to make a bit of time up at work as I'm taking tomorrow afternoon off to go to the cinema. Why not use up that flexi, that's what I say!

    Here's me today:
    • Made porridge with half water half milk - really want to get into porridge made with water (like my grandad used to do) as we always run out of milk and I don't like milk much anyway. Was surprisingly ok, 'tastified' with honey and raisins :D
    • Eating the last of my free Graze box :j :T :j
    • Toasted fruit loaf from the freezer for lunch
    • Walking everywhere - get use out of those shape ups
    • Knitting later - had to rip the thing out yesterday so determined to get it finished asap!
    • Yoga later - using free trial :T
    • Pennies in the pot
    • Laundry delivery - making me feel better about the flat so DFW, ie less likely to go on a 'I hate my flat' spending spree :p
    • Check cc - has PAD come off???? Can I make another????
    • Take cash out for spends - £100 - see how long it lasts this new month of March
    • Buy snacks for cinema tomorrow :)
    • Tidy round
    • Got the nice wine glasses out of storage and into the cupboards - why not use nice things every day?! :p

  • hello

Where was todays thread hiding? Page 3 thats where

Today been a good day (PAY DAY)
    • evil Payday companies have been temporarily defeated in that they didnt manage to take the money today which is a blessed relief. Still, need to keep protecting myself until DAS fully up and running (and probably beyond)
    • transferred funds to new upfront credit card
    • paid the normal bills
    • got a bit shopping and took advantage of lots of bogof offers
    • beef in slow cooker tomorrow but tonight its a £1 ready meal
    • gave dd some money for underwear (down to her last bra and the wire had broken in that too - poor lass)
    • plan how many NSD's I will manage in march - feb not entirely successful for me
    • struggling to find a 'mate' for my lovely girl today - apparently blondes and silver dapples dont mix so done some research on tinternet during lunch (without success so far)
not done much else but leaving work now!!

    See you all tomorrow

  • Its not what I'm going to do today but what I've done, good day :-)

    1. Check banking - done
    2. Withdraw housekeeping £ for month from OH accoung - done
    3. Buy birthday cards for s-in-l and her OH - done
    4. Buy s-in-l birthday present - done and with cashback, woo hoo
    5. Buy OH new shoes - done and with nectar points for the price I budgeted to pay
    6. Hunt down the cheapest cat food (they'll only eat Whiskas, naughty little monkeys! Found it cheap in pet shop, cheaper than Tesco. Bought it. Then went to Wilkies and it was 50 p cheaper. Boo)

Went into town and didn't have coffee. Popped to in laws and got tea and a sandwich there. Free. First day off in 7 days so tonight we are having a friend round to dinner and I am certainly having a glass of vino! Had a reasonably good day with the cash back and lack of spending. Very pleased!
If you knew it then you know it!

    £3160/£11,000
  • I've joined the NSD challenge again...have been seriously useless at NSDs recently. Was all pleased with myself resisting buying a diet coke at lunch and just having a free cup of tea at work....so I could have my first NSD...then remembered it was still Feb:o So can't count ityet....:rotfl:

But, tomorrow I will pledge to have my 1st NSD of March, will go straight home after work, don't need anything.

Have a new meal cooking in the oven...minced beef hotpot - looks and smells good:TI'm going to try to do at least 2 new meals each month.

Off to put the heating down:D
I really need to sort out a new signature!
