I am having such an issue about getting some answers on compensation which I feel I deserve due to not having phone line for month. Have filled in numerous forms and complaint forms but am getting no where. It is driving me mad. Is there someone independant I can forward my complaints to? Am I in my right to refuse to pay this months bill for a service I have not been receiving. They are so rude and unhelpful I would not reccommend them to anyone

Is your phone back on? If so dial 150 and choose the option for thinking of leaving. Explain calmly that you are dissatisfied with the service and the fact you haven't received compensation etc, see what they say. You don't need to threaten to leave and don't foget that if you do leave and you are still in contract, there will be a disconnection charge.0 -
Thanks. Will wait until my phone is working again. Engineer coming later in week. Will write things down and be calm0

LOL - You gotta love them..
I just rang them to say someone is taking over the account as i have moved home...They said it would cost £20 admin charge to do this...I laughed and put the phone down. I will ring up again when i stop laughing to actually cancel - which costs nothing!!!! How Stupid of them.....0 -

If you haven't given 30 days notice to quit then it will cost you to cancel. Even if you are out of contract you are still required to give 30 days notice, if you fail to do so you will still be charged for 30 days service. It's in the T's and C's.
I believe there is an admin fee to transfer service to another name, if this is what you are trying to do.0
