Booking by Telephone

Can anyone help me? I recently booked some flights/transfers over the phone. I agreed to the price and paid my credit card. However when I received my invoice part of the total was credit card charges and a large booking fee. They actually came to £109.58 from a total of £1258.00. I thought that travel agents are supposed to declare everything upfront but when I complained I was told that I had agreed to the total cost and should have asked about the charges. I thought the onus was on the travel agent to reveal al the charges?

It's up to the TA to reveal the charges if they are extra to the quoted price.

It sounds like they were included in this case - so all the charges were revealed, just not broken down.

If the TA said the total was £1258.00 and thats what you paid then they have told you the FULL cost. It would have been for you to ask if it cost more by CC. If they added on money above what you said on the phone then thats wrong.
