Tesco's Internet Saver pays annual interest on the 1st April. I have checked the interest on my account today, and I been paid 2.6% as expected.

    Hi,

did your interest consist of 2 postings 1 for the standard rate & the 2nd for the bonus rate, or did the interest just appear on 1 line?.

    Regards
    SJL

Two seperate lines, one slightly higher than the other. I think the rate is 1.25% + 1.35% bonus, but I might have those the wrong way around.

When I downloaded the transactions into a CSV file the two interest lines were described as "31 MAR NET..." and "INTROBON...".

One place on the site says it's for new customers, but then elsewhere it says for new accounts. Tesco do have a policy that the bonus can only be applied to one account at a time.

I wonder how I can get my existing account upgraded - what with all the fuss of getting card readers etc, I don't really want to have to close all accounts then start over from scratch.

Last time when they increased to 2.70 I opened a new one transferred the balance of the old one over and then phoned them to close the old one. Hope they will allow the same this time but I'll phone them tomorrow to check.
