Hello all, first post so please bear with me, and I'll keep this as short as possible. A few months back I got a cold call asking if I would be interested in a company called Simms Carmichael getting me some money back on any mis-sold insurances on loans that I had taken out. Now as said to cut the story short, they told me that they would do it for 25% of any amount I recieve. Now in the last few days, a friend of mine, who had recieved two amounts from another company for the self same thing, £800 and £400, has now recieved a bill from the company that managed to get the money for him for £2000 and they've said it's for consultancy fees. Is this normal practice for companies like these to do this kind of thing, and if it is, as I've not yet received any money yet, am I in a position to stop the process before I get a similar bill?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hi there I don't know much about claims companies to be honest, but do know lots have not had a smooth run of it by using them.
Hopefully someone will post up soon with osme advice for you, but it your unsure about the business you could contact Claims Regulation (Ministry of justice)-(MOJ) for advice perhaps on the company, especially if your feeling a bit weary of them.

Hope this resolves soon and your not waiting too long, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
