Ive just hooked up my 5.1 speakers on my pc, all connections are correct according to the manual.
The probel i have i only get sound from my front 2 and woofer. so back 2 and centre front no sound.
OK ive written down as much info i can find to help.
According to driver detective I have
Nvidea Geforce 6200 graphics card.
Now I cannot find what sound card I have as DD says its: Sabrent SBT-SP6C Sound 3D PCI Soundcard.
C-media CM18738/C3Dx PCI audio device
On my tool bar I have a C-Media mixer, ive opened that and it seems the chip version is CM18738 6CH without SPDIF
Line in and rear output share same jack.
Also driver detec tell me that I have no driver for audio device and I need to dl Realtek AC97 Device - I dl it and no sound at all
So thats all i can find so any help guys.

Surely you need the SBT-SP6C driver from this list - http://sabrent.com/v2/drivers/ - get the one for your OS0

Well the driver is updated but still no sound, however after the sound test im getting sound from 2 speakers that should be elsewhere.
rear left speaker - sound for centre speaker
rear right speaker - sound for subwoofer
thats according to the sound test
Is a sabrent SBT-SP6C 5.1 compatable?? there are the connections so im thinking that the card is ok????All the big powers they've silenced me. So much for free speech and choice on this fundamental human right, and outing the liars.0 -

Maybe re-check the speaker connects into the subwoofer - http://logitech-en-emea.custhelp.com/ci/fattach/get/382880/ see page 2
Does your sound prog allow you to manually move the "position" of the sound on a diagram so that you can make it appear from eg left front, rear right, etc ?
I can't see the card being "wrong" ..and it does seem to be 5.1 .0 -

ive checked the plugs and they 'where' in the right sockets, ive had to change them around to get the speakers to 'work' however im getting sound from the woofer that should be coming from another speaker.
i cannot go to the config options and change the sounds around. All the big powers they've silenced me. So much for free speech and choice on this fundamental human right, and outing the liars.0 -
Maybe see p3 , para 3 of the link. A 5.1 sound card costs £5-8 eg http://computers.shop.ebay.co.uk/Internal-Cards-/3701/i.html?Card%2520Interface=PCI&Sound%2520Output%2520Mode=5%252E1%2520Channel%2520Surround&rt=nc&LH_BIN=1&_dmpt=UK_Computing_ComputerComponents_SoundCards&_sc=1&_sop=15&_trksid=p3286.c0.m301
EDIT: - are you using a 5.1 audio source , eg original dvd ???
-if using config options have a scout around to see if any options sound relevant.0
