the water falls are good you will prob get offered it by one of the bar men. rather than a trip out day. the safria is good there are two main ones a white one and an orange one. we went on the orange one. it was good but wished we went on the other one. the national park is good too. at the top of a massive cable car ride.

    A package hol I presume?

If so, go for the Jeep Safari, all the resorts seem to offer it. It gives a great look at some of the island.

If you like a lfutter, you must go to a casino... you get soooo many dominican dolars for your pounds you have big wads of notes so can play for ages on a little dough :D

    Have fun!

    Outback jeep safari definitely!
The catamaran was pretty good too, nice snorkelling and lots of colourful fish.

We booked the catamaran too but didn't go.... I've honestly never been so hungover as I was on that evil (delicious) rum they put in everything, '151'

I would only recommend the Water Fall trip if you are physically fit and a very good swimmer. It is quite a walk up to the falls. When we actually got there, I chickened out on climbing up. My daughter went and loved it but it involves getting hauled up steep cliffs and then jumping back down. Not for me and hopeless if you wear specs.

The catamaran is my favourite trip off the North Coast of the Dominican Republic. I have done this excursion about half a dozen times. A word of warning though, it can get very rough on the ocean. I have seen many people spend the whole day with their head in a bucket, if you know what I mean. It costs about £50 but is an all day trip and lunch and drinks are included. They have the snorkle equipment and give instruction if you are a beginner. On the homeward journey, the crew usually give a dance performance and generally create a good atmosphere.

The Monster Trucks as opposed to the Jeep Safara is good fun too.

    Enjoy.
  • It's a few years since I've been to the Dominican Republic and I went to the South but I do remember savign a huge amount by using local travel agencies for trips rather than the tour operators who inflate their prices quite dramatically!
