Hi all,
Im going through my income and outgoings and trying to save where I can.
Ive bought a laptop a few months ago from PC world and they kind of pressured me into getting the insurance as well. Its £8ish a month; is there somewhere that is cheaper or is it better for me to continue with this?
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

If you are careful with it, there is little need for insurance!!

Do you have house insurance (contents) If so bin the laptop insurance, as it should be covered under your house insurance.0
-
Is it just on a month by month basis or are you paying an annual fee over 12 months.
If its just a monthly fee, cancel it.
If annual you are stuck with it for a year, but look at the small print to make sure its not on auto renewal or you will be stuck with it for another year.
Check your household insurance, make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

I am really careful to be honest. I felt pressured because they said if I didnt take the insurance when I bought it, I wouldne be able to buy the insurance at a later date.
They said I could cancel at any time.0 -
The laptop is at my mums so it would probably be on her home insurance?0

What they tell you and what is written down is two different things, read the small print about cancellation and
check with your mum if she is covered for accidental damage.
The insurance you have now with PC World will cover you for breakdown. (But it is guaranteed for the first year anyway)
The insurance at your mums (if she has it) will only cover you for accidental damage.
So you have to chose.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
