Abu has a lacky in prison who has the unenviable task of wiping his rump!
He's known as 'Dirty Harry!'
This is absolutely true btw.
lol, seriously?
wow, unlucky guy....(not Abu that is!)The Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!
If I give you advice it is only a view and always always take professional advice before acting!!!

If the Pope wants to come to Britain he should pay his way. Most people couldn't give a monkeys whether he comes here or not. I resent my money being used in this way. Years ago, I went to Poland and children outside a Catholic church were begging for money. Inside I could not believe what I saw - a lot of money had been put into that church. I asked the tour leader why there was a child outside begging when there was evidently so much wealth in the church. Do you know what he said? 'Next question'. Ha!0

There's lots of things my taxes get spent on that I'd rather they weren't.
Then again, a visit by a head of state or a major religious figure to the UK gets us lots of overseas publicity. Compare £7m to the nearly £30m that VisitBritain got last year.0 -
aye, that is fair point but still makes my blood boil.0

I for one was very glad that the Pope came to Britain, and I hope he enjoyed his stay. As SirMarcus pointed out, there are numerous crimes committed against the taxpayer every day such as us being made to subsidise Muslim hate preachers while they live a life of luxury in council properties as our own pensioners were being found dead in the snow because they couldn't pay their heating. These are the crimes we need to focus on and draw attention to in order to hopefully have them abolished IMO.0

I cannot argue with your second point, which is why I give some of what I would put into the collection plate to charity instead. If the Pope wants to come to Britain he should pay his way. As for your first point, the invite was issued by gordon brown. Do you invite guests around then bill them afterwards?I'm not bad at golf, I just get better value for money when I take more shots!0 -
£7million???
Really???
Biggest waste of our money ever - country on it's knees and we are throwing £7m at that?0 -
As a Catholic and a tax payer can I just ask if anyone knows how much of my taxes gets spent on other religions e.g. Church of England? How much gets spent on things I would rather not support e.g. abortion? How much gets spent on security for the Royal family? How much will Prince William's wedding cost us?
I guess when it comes to taxes we all have our own priorities, the last Papal visit was nearly 30 years ago I think so if you divde the £7m by 30 the annual figure seems more reasonable.Sell £1500
2831.00/£15000 -
Well said mumpsI'm not bad at golf, I just get better value for money when I take more shots!0
