Think I am on 8 so far, hopefully will be 9 today. Additionally found a sum total of 31p (in different places) while I was walking home yesterday, and found 20p on the way in this morning. So I am 51p up! Not entirely sure if I was being hyper observent due to my current tight belt, or if I have just been fortunate. Will definitely keep my eyes peeled for more!

I want to thank everyone - this really is inspiring me to tighten my belt. In the last week I have *found* money, and despite setbacks I am in a more positive frame of mind. Thank you all!!
Debt at worst: £33000 (Feb 2011). Present debt: £25610 (Apr 2012)
    Lloyds old (22.4%) = 560 (Dec 2012)

I love finding money, doesn't happen too often but nice when it does. Though someone left a £1 at the self service check I went to on Sunday. There was no-one there when I got to the till, otherwise I would have given it to the rightful owner.

Day No. 5 for me. Have decided that chocolate spread is one of those things I actually prefer branded rather than value. But hey have to try things!

Hi Butti  My take on value & own label things are:- we try them & if we a) like them, I'll buy them again or, b) don't like them, I haven't made an expensive mistake :D You'd be hard pressed to find a 'name' in our home, particularly in the kitchen cupboards :p

Re: anti-social behaviour. There are some little scroats about aren't here  & I fear there will be more if the judges don't start supporting the local constabularies & give sentences, that WILL be a deterrent as opposed to taking the perpetrator's sweeties away angry-smiley-005.gif Forgive me for changing the subject now, or the PTB will say we've gone off thread if I go further with my pet rantage medium-smiley-010.gif

No 14 on Sunday & more food shopping yesterday :o It must sound like we're terrible gluttons, but I buy fruit & veg to last about three days or I've nowhere to store it :( My super-duper sassie fridge-freezer looks good, but is noticeably smaller than the one it replaced--get a bit of bagged salad leaves in there for Iggie & a tub of spread, & there's little enough room for a chive. Progress huh :undecided
