Cat used to love her food.....

Mrs Tibbs wasspayed last October and after that I saw she was getting quite greedy at mealtimes. Once I had fed her, she would be fine and not start up again until the next mealtime. She has 2 pouches a day and her dried food is in a dispenser which she nibbles on as and when.

That in itself was to be expected as the Vet said, her appetite would possibly grow but we should keep it in check as she would gain weight otherwise. She's a normal weight so no problems there.

About a month ago she went turbo wanting to eat all the time. She would appear from no where as soon as I opened the fridge or started cooking. Still not giving in to her because I knew she was eating enough and ignoring the loud miaowing that would carry on until she realised she got bored and gave up.

So now about 2 weeks ago she has gone the other way completely. Instead of going mad at breakfast time and getting excited waiting for the pouch to open she's not eating the equivalent of a pouch a day for days now. Her stools are the same, she is as active as before sleeping the same amount of times and is still affectionate and completely the same in every other way.

Worming is all up to date but something just doesn't seem right so I'm going to book her an appointment tomorrow just to be sure.

In the meantime can anyone tell me how normal it is to have a greedy cat to a can't be bothered to eat cat in just a few weeks?

Should also mention her food is unchanged so am at a loss to what may be the cause.
There used to be a street named after Chuck Norris, but it was changed because nobody crosses Chuck Norris and lives.

Yoy have not changed her food but the product may have changed, like the recipie could have etc and she no longer finds it appetising?
If she is still eating her dry food then the type of wet may be the problem.

Lily happily had standard Felix for years but really went off it, wouldn't touch it but happily ate her dry. We tried her with posh Felix and Whiskas and she's back to eating normally -so much so that in the mornings we no longer have to pay a "toll" of a stroke at the top of the stairs for her to go down and let us pass, she races down without any prompting now!
