how many competitions have people entered before winning anything?

  • Started comping in November, won my first prize within 3 days of comping. That was it, got me hooked!!!!

I try and enter as many as possible, but things like dvd's cd's I skip. I win around 5-10 things a month on average. Apart from January I only won 1 thing, so it really is the luck of the draw. I am waiting for a big win! :D .... My time will come one day!

I first started comping in April 2009. I went on an unbelievable run and over the next 12 months I won about £12,000 worth of prizes. I had most luck entering any competition that involved small effort - ie, writing a short sentence, review, comment, etc. I have definitely found it harder to win anything of note in the last 12 months. 2 years ago it was rare for there to be more than 200 browsing the competitions board at any one time. Now it is rare for there to be less than 500 browsing. That obviously makes winning anything a lot more difficult. I still think that a lot of the effort comps get less entries so I just type "effort" in to forum search now and tend to stick to the effort comps. A lot less people enter when any type of effort is involved so your chances of winning increase greatly.

I spend far too many hours comping, but i love it its great when something turns up in the post like a mascara or a big wn, i've been very lucky ove rthe years to have some great wins cash, ipods, small wins and i have to say now its addictive, but as long as you enjoy it enter as many as you can, and wait for the postman to knock, because as they say with the lottery you have to be in it to win it

I started comping at the end of July last year and had my first win within a week (2 dining chairs and a years supply of coffee). Since then I've averaged about 13 wins a month. I enter by end date and just enter the ones I am interested in. I'm not sure exactly how many I do but it's probably around 1000 a week if you count Facebook and Twitter comps. I've also won a few things from the dailies and my best win so far has been an xbox 360 with kinect from cokezone. I'm totally addicted and get excited if I win a bar of chocolate, so anything bigger is a bonus! Good luck :)
:AThanks to all those who post comps:A

The first competition I entered was the iPad times comp. Though I admit I got abit obsessive with it, it paid off and I was one of lucky ones. It has give me the comping bug and have entered lots more since. :)

i have been comping on and off for a couple of years, i was really lucky when i first started, although i never won anything big the small wins give you a buzz and keep you going!
The best things i have won is a peroni leather laptop bag and a portable dvd player, both i sold on ebay to help pay for a holiday.
I love reading on here what people have won, it really keeps you going, i'm hoping to win some clothes vouchers next!! :)

Hi I comp a lot now.

Mainly due to being disabled and unable to work full time - I now work part time from home updating competitionclub.

    I enter betweet 150 and 250 comps a day 7 days a week - totally addicted.
That normally takes me between 2-4 hours a day.

I normally manage to win at least £300 worth of wins a month.

This month has been exceptional with £300 in cash wins alone and over 30 wins!

Great Wins!!:T Do you mind if I ask you where you find 150 to 250 competitions a day to enter? I seem to only manage to find up to 50 on a good day:o
    January GC: £64.81/£80.00
    February GC: £24.60£80.00

    Sure no probs -

I start off with all the dailies - there's normally at least 25/30 there
    Then there's twitter - normally at least 25 a day (70-100 on a friday!)
    facebook - anywhere from 10 to 20 a day (30-40 on a friday!)

I then come on MSE and work by end date - I do any closing later that day I may have missed - normally about 15/20

Then I do comps ending the next day - normally about 50 a day

If I've got some time left over i'll do some of the puzzler type one's - have the thread saved to my favourites or some itv ones.
Not really comping any more as too ill - but hoping to win £1000+ in 2017 in cash prizes - watch this space!
  • Can I ask how you find competitions on facebook to enter ?
  • my daughter always seems to be winning something so I have started comping too!
