Share Dealing Broker. Which one?

Hi All,

I am looking to buy/sell a few shares.

Currently I am only looking to buy/sell UK shares and will probably be looking more long term than short term, but you never know what will happen.

I have found execution only services from.https://www.x-o.co.uk and https://www.svssecurities.com which both offer sub £6 trades, with svs running at just £1 for the first 30 days.

Other friends are currently using Barclays and III, will I be at any disadvantage using the cheaper services? and is it a case of low buy/sell fees but you get caught in some other format.

Preferences/advice greatly appreciated.

Thanks :j

X-O have been fine for me - they system works OK and, on the rare occasion I've needed help from the support people it's been very quick coming and spot on with answering my questions correctly.
