Which charities take stamps/foreign coins?
My OH used to run a small business which involved sending stuff overseas and some travelling. It closed some years ago and we are now clearing out the stuff left over. We have unearthed a large quantity of used stamps (ones with nice images on) from around the world, and ditto used foreign coins.
Anyone like to suggest any charities who might like to have either stamps or coins?

For stamps, work your way backwards through this thread (to get details of those who currently collect stamps rather than those who no longer do so!)
There may be suggestions for foreign coins also, however I think some bank branches will collect foreign coins for charities - I have disaster relief in mind but could be wrong.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
The RNIB collect stamps.0

I know The Leprosy Mission take used stamps. A very worthwhile cause. You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0

BA used to accept coins, I think they now work with Comic Relief. (used to be UNICEF)0

We are a very small charity that collect stamps. We use what we make on them to help fund making quilts for terminally/long-term ill children.

We'd love to take your stamps0 -
Thank you to those who have sent stamps to LoveQuiltsUK, we have received a couple of large consignments lately and we are very grateful.
There isn't a *lot* of money in it but we have no overheads and we can do a lot with a small amount of money terms of buying fabric, cotton reels etc.0 -
We have had another two anonymous shipments of stamps this week - I assume it must be from here - so THANK YOU if you're reading!0

Probably a bit late but any Oxfam shop will accept any coins ( and stamps).
Where possible the coins will be sold ( through the shops which specialise in them) otherwise they are sold on to a specialist outlet.0 -

Thanks Lilly! It does keep us out of mischief
More thanks to (presumably) readers of this thread for more stamps coming in. They don't make a lot, but as I said before even a few quid is helpful to us0
