Hello,
been struggling with U130 trying to connect to wifi.
Have updated O/S (now running Windows7 starter SP1)
network card drivers uninstalled and reinstalled with latest.
Also used MSI website live update tool.

THe notebook can connect via ethernet cable, and USB 3G dongle no problem.
On trying to connect to my Netgear router (802.11n) it can find the network, but attempting to connect just gives the "windows cannot connect to this network" error.
The troubleshooter attempt to repair the connection is of no use.

Have tried a couple BT unsecured networks and also girlfriends wifi (802.11g) and still have same problem.
However I did manage to connect to the .11g network once, but after shutting down the notebook, on restart, it now refuses to connect again to any network.

Is the Wireless Zero Config started? Is the wireless switch on?

yes, it is, it will detect the wireless networks around, and also will display information about each one (SSID, security status, transmission and encryption method etc) - but after selecting a network and entering the password, attempts to connect and fails

Have you ticked the "let windows choose bla bla" box in Wireless Networks Advanced Options?
Networks are a pain sometimes. Wonder if your wireless card doesn't like W7?

there's no option to do anything like that - the netbook came with everything preinstalled and ready to go - all that can be done is to turn the wireless (and bluetooth) on and off. Have contacted Argos support as MSI have already said that they handle the tech side of it - but they havent suggested anything yet that I haven't tried myself

My wifes netbook's wifi just recenty "died" the same way... shows networks but doesn't connect to them.

Tried it with ubuntu live cd same problem... so it's not OS related

tried reflashing bios and it changed nothing...
