replacement router question

Netgear have replaced my dgn 2000 router with a reconditioned one, see previous posts re. the old one.
They have just sent the router, no cables, startup disc etc. This is no problem as I have all the parts.
What is the quickest way to set up the new one? can I just swap the routers and reset in the router manager? or is it best to use the startup disc? I could not find the router in add/remove programmes to uninstall.

Assuming you're using it as a combined DSL modem and router, you'll need to connect to it's IP address (the default address is usually marked on the underside or on the packaging) with your browser and enter your ISP username and password in order for it to connect on the ADSL side.
If you're going to use the wireless side, you will also need to configure the access security as required.0 -
Really simple. Log on to your OLD router with your web browser. Go to Backup Settings under Maintenance on the menu on the left hand side and select "Save a copy of current settings" and back them up to a file on your computer.
Swap the routers, log into the new one using your web browser (http://192.168.0.1), go to the same place but this time select "restore saved settings from a file" and select the one you'd previously saved.
Hey presto, job done.0
