Groupon credit - expired!

Hi all
This is perhaps me being very *thick*, but I recommend Groupon to people all the time using my link, and have never had any word back about credit for the recommendation, so I have assumed that haven't used it.
I recommended recently and knew the person took the offer on the deal, so decided to dig around on the website to see if they had credited my account.
I'm mortified to find that there are credits sitting on the account from back in March 2010, which have all but one expired now. A total of £42 has 'expired' since then.
Where do I stand with getting the credit reinstated? Just about to email them but wanted some advice first.
Thanks

Can't help I'm afraid, but know how you feel. I wanted to use my £8 credit on the Body Shop offer only to find it expired a couple of weeks back. Grrrrrr.0

Thanks. On looking further into it, some of the credit didn't even last the full six months, but only 2 months? Why would this be?

It would appear to be a gimmick so that we will keep referring as many as people as possible to get credit whilst taking up as many deals as possible ourselves, in order to spend it before it expires.0

What a nightmare! My last credit just expired the other day there - AFTER I had purchased the Body Shop deal! So clearly I didn't know about it - I feel so stupid!

I knew mine was there, just didn't realise I only had a fortnight - yes, a whole two weeks - to spend it.0

Two weeks?! My goodness!
I run an online beauty blog so will be advising my members not to use Groupon if they write back declining the refund!

Yes, they seem very sneaky! I don't understand why they can't email and let you know you have credit, something along the lines of 'Congratulations, your referral has been accepted - you now have £xx in your account to spend' or similar. I wonder how many others have expired credit??
