Estate agent for sell and buy ?

Hi Is it prudent to use the same estate agent for buying and selling house?

    No.
    Select an agent carefully for your sale, looking at how they are likely to perform and what they will charge.

    Use any and all agents to buy (you don't have a contract with them or need to pay) - the only criteria is do they have a property you like on their books.

    If the agent you sell your house through happens to also have a house you want to buy, there's no problem at all.

    In fact, it often speeds up the buyinng/selling.

    You'd usually be on the market before you find the house so if you're thinking of using the same agent, you're already doing it backwards.

    Anyhow, if you have done it backwards, they will be quite keen to sell yours as it means two commissions. Ask them for a discount on selling yours ;)
