Do you get an hdmi extension lead thingy that can offer more ports? If so, are there good ones and bad ones or are they all of a similar standard?

You will regret getting one that that is not truly automatic switching, many so called automatic are not, they only default to the last port used, others require a remote. Many HDMi switches can not do 1080, so depending on your needs be careful what you buy.

Search on eBay for
Belkin 3 way HDMI switch or Pure AV HDMI switch.
Both the same thing - I have used and found them to be good.
Comes with a remote control and can be operated by programmable remotes as well.
I would avoid ones which are 'automatic' because they will switch when you don't necessarily want them to (eg if you have a SKY HD box etc).British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
you,you want auto switching and/or a remote control
I have a nice Belkin Pure AV 3 port with a remote, but if i was buying i would probably get an autoswitcher plus remote this time0 -
