joint br and listing debts

Hope someone can help us!
We are just completing our br forms and although we have sought advice, we have come a bit stuck.
When listing our unsecured debts, do we each list all debts or do we only list those which are are sole/jointly held ie should I put my husbands debts on my forms even if my name is not on the agreement?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks again inadvance xx

Only put the debts down that you are liable for, ie: your debts and any joint debts.

  • From what I remember all you need to put on are debts that your name actually appears on. So any joint debts and debts in your own name. Make sure you both put joint debts on both of your forms as the company can go to the other for payment and if it hasnt been included in your BR then you may still be liable.

  • thanks so much.....don't know what I'd do with out the fab people here helping either in the late hours or sundays when everywhere else is closed. Big THANKYOU!!
  • Thanks Sticks123 - I was just coming on to ask this. Do you put down half of the debt on each form or the full amount liable on each form?

Does anyone also know whether you put down the name of the original lender, or the company that are chasing for the debt? I am just wondering if its been sold onto a debt collection agency etc.
    Thanks

BR covers all unsecued debt, whether you put them on your BR paperwork or not.

So if you miss a debt off, you would not be liable for it.

    Full amount on each form
  • JCS1 - thanks so much.
Can I be a pain and ask another question? On the forms, do we put down exactly as we spend now or what we think we will spend going forwards? For example, we currently have a Sky subscription which shows on our bank account, obviously we will not be allowed this going forwards and so I am wondering if we include this or not. I was told by the CCCS to put down exactly what we spend now?? do you know? Thanks so much
  • you can keep sky, but can't put it down as a claimable expense IYSWIM....so don't list it, but you don't have to cancel if you can afford it out of your grocery budget for example.

one example being that I have a friend who services my car, cheaper than a garage, but I still put down the same amount for car maintainance.

  • Thanks Tupperware_Queen - do I put it on the forms? I'm confused what to include and what not (see above). It seems to make sense to just include what we will or want to spend post BR?
    Thank you
  • I was using top up tv, which was £11 a month, and put it on my SOA, it hasn't been queried. I guess £40-50 sky subscription might tho!

Can you downgrade, or does your sky include phone and BB?

If I were you I'd put it on, as a low amount, and see what they say
