Complicated Home Insurance Advice

Can anyone advise me of this situation. House is in the wife's name. House and contents insurance is being paid through husband's bank account and policies are in his name. Marriage is going through a tough time, if not ended. Insurance Company will not change policies into her name and husband has left.

    The wife would be able to take out her own insurance on the property and content as she has an insurable interest in them.
