Poem for remembering a loved one at our wedding

My H2B's mother and my grand mother passed away a few years ago and I wanted to have a little poem dedicated to both which I would put with a picture of each of them at the reception to honour their presence - does anyone know of one?
I'll also be going to my late MIL 2B's grave the morning of our wedding to lay a corsarge for her!

"Although death has separated us physically, faith and love have bound us eternally.
Though we cannot see you, we know you are here.
Though we cannot touch you, we feel the warmth of your smile, as we begin a new chapter in our lives.
Today we pause to reflect upon those who have shaped our character,
Molded our spirits and touched our hearts.
May the lighting of this candle be a reminder of the memories we have shared,
A representation of the everlasting impact you have made upon our lives.":T Became Mrs Allison on 23rd April 2011

You could have a candle made and lit next to a photo of them?
We had one, although didn't have pictures as it would have upset my husband too much.
He went to the cemetary on the morning of the wedding so he could have a chat with his Mum (she died when he was 8)Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
Oh this is so touching, what a beautiful idea! I have been to several weddings where people have mentioned those no longer with us, but this is so thoughtful. Thank you for sharing it with us.:hello:  please play nicely children !0

Our candle reads:
"Although we cannot see you we know you are very near. Smiling down upon us as we join our love so dear

What a lovely idea, does anyone have a poem that could be used for people who are still with us but because of illness can't go to the wedding, my mum has alzheimers and is so bad that there is no way she can attend my daughters wedding but it would be lovely to show that we're still thinking of her.0

This is a really lovely poem, I was going to use it for my friend who passed away a couple of years ago...
Christina RossettiRememberREMEMBER me when I am gone away, Gone far away into the silent land; When you can no more hold me by the hand, Nor I half turn to go, yet turning stay. Remember me when no more day by day You tell me of our future that you plann'd: Only remember me; you understand It will be late to counsel then or pray. Yet if you should forget me for a while And afterwards remember, do not grieve:For if the darkness and corruption leave A vestige of the thoughts that once I had, Better by far you should forget and smile Than that you should remember and be sad.
But I am not sure it is really ideal for a wedding speech, but maybe good printed with a photo which is how I am plannig on using it0 -
oh girls... you brought tears to my eyes!
The candle is a fantastic idea! I will be getting one made and we'll have it on the main table (where his mom should have been!)!
On a total side note... and has me in tears! I've just checked my bank account to make sure my salary has been paid and my best friend has put quite a substantial amount of money into my bank account labeld "wedding fund" - how lovely is that! It's instead of a wedding present, even though the wedding is still a year away! Isn't she amazing! I've been in tears on the phone to her! she's upped my budget quite a bit!0
