Anyone commute to chippenham, especially from the west m4 side. If so which way do you go and timing etc?

what the traffic is like?

Forexample into the Sainsbury which is near the centre?

Traffic is bad during the morning/evening peaks - the worst place of all is by Sainsburys. You have two very busy roads crossing here, the A4 carrying mainly commuting traffic and the A350 carrying commuters and a lot of heavy goods traffic going to/from the M4.

if heading from bristol direction, any ideas of the better route and if had to get to say sainsbury for 9am, what time is best left from bristol and also same leaving at 5pm back to bristol?

Which way would you be coming from Bristol - M4 or A420 ? Both feed you into the A350, you have less distance on the 350 if you come into Chippenham on the 420.
By 9am the traffic is easing off a little - BUT, 5pm you're in the thick of it !

Come out one day and try it, is your best bet !
