I want to get from Shepards Bush, to Forest Gate

THE JOURNY

Half of the journey is on TUBE, and Half is on National rail (Well 2 stops only on National Rail),

so would 1 Tube ticket cover the whole journey? or I will have to buy 2 seperate tickets?

Here is a MAP

Question
-Can i buy a Tube Ticket, and Still use it on the National rail lines (In east london), aswell as the tubes?

Question
What would be the TUBE Ticket Price, for a RETURN Ticket, Today, Sunday? - what is the website for Tube prices, and can you work out the price for me

Question
How long will that journey take ?

I dont want to use any buses.

The main question- Can I use the TUBE Ticket, on the tube journey AND on the National Rail journey too ?

(As half of the journey is on Tube, and half is on National rail in EAST LONDON - 2 of the stops will be on National rail.

and can you use a Debit card at the Tube station ?
  • Where are you going to and from? If you go to the station and buy your ticket then yes and even if you buy at a machine then yes. Your buying to your destination so how you get there on cross london travel is irrelevant as your ticket will be valid.

  • 1. No, but you can buy a RAIL ticket from Sheperds Bush to Forest Gate (£6 single) which is showing with 3 changes, including part of the journey on the tube. Allows you any 'reasonable' route to your final destination

    2. For the tube ALONE (excluding NR), £4.00 single. Cheaper to buy a Day travelcard (£8.00 or £7.30 for just zones 1-3) which allows you unlimited travel within specified zones

    3. NRE showing as between 1hr 45 and 2 hrs for a journey with 3 changes. Can get there in 55 mins according to TFL, but I think this would involve buying a Day Travelcard (£8.00)

Or £4.10 peak £3.20 off peak with an Oyster card for the complete journey (single)

A day travelcard for zones 1-3 is £10 peak £7.30 off peak

Forget the ridiculous routing for the RAIL ticket - you don't want to go that way and the tube usage is only between London terminals of which Shepherds Bush is not one. Which is why it sends you to Waterloo first.
