Refund policy New Look

If you got the item just this week you have 7 working days in which to TELL THEM you want to return it. After that you send it back and get a full refund under Distance Selling Regulations 2000.
They are not under an obligation to refund you in their shop unless they said they could.
There will be some confusion during the changeover period.0 -

I would assume that it is my legal right to return something to the store to get a full refund as it has been less than 7 days. Looks like that's not the case from what everyone is saying.0 -
Yes you have assumed wrong. The internet shop could be a totally different set up in the way it operates and handles stock compared to the retail shop.
to save themselves the hassle they should make it clear on the website.0 -
The site is confusing. It does say you can return to store for a full refund, but mentions the change in policy in relation to sale items, not returns in general:

They need to sort their site out really0 -

I agree completely! Surely they are in the wrong somewhere for not stating these new 'terms' on the back of the receipts/delivery notes?0 -

Oh trust me, I was very awkward for them. They left me standing there half an hour whilst they called customer services. I caused a huge stink but nobody would give in! The way it was handled was completely out of order and the staff were very rude which encouraged me to be more difficult so I'll be writing a letter of complaint anyway!0 -

But if they stated their new terms on the back of the receipt or delivery note, these would invalid and totally unenforceable in law.
This is because by the time you get the receipt/delivery note, the contract has already completed and so New Look would be attempting to change the T&C's that you agreed to at the time of the sale. The only way you will find out about the new policy is by going to the T&Cs page on their website. They do not mention it AT ALL during the checkout process.
Apart from this bit which is right beside the "Pay now" button
By placing an order with New Look you accept our Terms & Conditions
Which if you click it, will show you all the terms and conditions.0 -
Edited so as not to confuse0
