Night Crafti, hope your voice improves tomorrow, sorry that work is so insensitive

Night Kit - say hello to Steve when you're on the phone hun :D:D

Well done Beanie on the pounds saved on the shopping, you must have swopped those pounds for the half pound you gained :p:p Sme as me, that half pound gain - pretty good really after Easter and everything ;);)

Mam was OK again tonight and ate well, of course - she was rambling away again - was on about being on her own now she had a little baby - my Dad was a merchant seaman during and after the war, Mam and Dad married in March 1946, my brother was born in 1947 and Dad left the sea when my brother was about 1950, with my sister and I being born in 1951 & 1953. So she presumably is talking about thie time when she was alone at home with him away at sea for long periods. She talked about the neighbours helping her and looking out for her. She obviously found this time hard by what she was saying today :(

Just come of the phone after 35 mins talking to Kit.
She has a full day at work tomorrow so she needed her beauty sleep...

Morning. Lovely story from your mam. It was worth it though she had the best family. Look how much you all care for her.

I have a long day today and sugars were not good. Next time you guys tell me to eat bread i can't cheat with digestive biscuits. Silly me. Still onwards and upwards. It is nearly the weekend!

    Everyone have a good day.

Afternoon everyone - yet another lovely day here:j :j

Kit, how's about cutting some bread into small rounds using a cookie cutter, then toasting them and putting them in an empty biscuit wrapper or a cookie jar - then it might fool you into having bread not biccies ;);) Just a thought :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Hope your long day is OK then hun if your sugars aren't good :(

Mr 3dogs was at the auction this morning and is VERY pleased with the records he bought - very pleased indeed - so he is happy again :j :j Oh and he did some gardening yesterday too in the afternoon - we haven't done anything to the small front garden since we moved in 3 years ago other than cut down an overgrown half hedge of hebe, strimmed it down a few times, and treated it with very strong weedkiller last year - however it keeps growing  It had some small bushes, roses, gladioli, and various other plants including MINT in a very haphazard pattern and has always looked a mess. Our plan has always been to clear it, put sand and gravel down with a central planted area and perhaps a few other specimen plants at edges, but either we have not had the time or the money to do it - and we worried about Mr 3Dogs' back if he tried to do it. Well yesterday afternoon, he dug out the bushes, strimmed it all down, covered it in black plastic sheeting and put some paving slabs down to hold it all in place - that should kill the blighters off :D:D

I am off out to the doc's appointment to get my prescription - back later

Well done Mr 3dogs on all of his hard work and also hooray for new records. Yay. Things are on the up.

I have had a long, but rewarding day. Now i have lots of papers to mark but i am going to pace myself gently.

I am going to ask lots of nosey questions now:

Marru do you have your housey? when are you moving?

Beanie how are you feeling today?

Aesop i hope you are ok.

I need to move next Friday the latest. Going to pay my deposit and first month's rent to the new place tonight. Bit panicky about all this as I am pushed to the limit at work at the moment.

I hope BF can help you out a bit. It will be worth it in the long run as it sounds like a great place. Moving is very stressful though. Can anyone help you? I wish you lived closer by?
