Afternoon everyone - it's been a lovely sunny morning but a bit of cloud about now and that is pinching the sun occassionally
Steve texted me to say the supposed £5 off £30 spend voucher in the Sun is actually some £1 off specific items so probably not worth the bother - shameMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Hope your lesson goes well hun. I managed to get the van taxed online today so Mr 3dogs should have it in post by end of week - semi-legal now at least
Glad that is done and dusted
One of my challenges at the start of the diary was to save each month to enable things like this to be paid from money put by for it but that plan failed - we've just not had the spare money we thought we would have to put aside each monthMostly this is due to lower income due to Mr 3dogs going self-employed instead of on Incap Benefit, and him not making money over the last few weeks at the car boots - but the delay you have to go through to get the new benefits you are entitled too has really made a bit difference - we should be due a good sum each week/month in Working Tax Credit but this takes so long to apply for, calculate and come through to you, that it leaves a big gap in income. Also, he was told he would get a Back to Work grant of £250 or £100 but that has not materialised, and we have not heard anything back since putting in the forms for Returning to Work £40 per week for 52 weeks they said was due - some chasing up for me tomorrow - but I know what they will say "I'm sorry we can't deal with you, only the claimant" Grrrrr all I want them to do get on with it and sort it all out
I rang the doctors today for an appointment as a Temp Resident but they couldn't give me a pre-booked appointment until Thursday or Friday and all on-the-spot appointments had been taken for today, so I would have to ring first thing tomorrow to see if I can get an on-the-spot appointment for tomorrow. I explained that my depression and hay fever tablets had run out today, and my preventor inhaler had run out over the weekend, so she suggested that I go to the local Walk-In Centre where she was sure I would be able to be given the medication - I said that I had my repeat prescription with me as proof and she said it would be no problem there - so wil go tonight on way home from seeing Mam - job done, hopefullyMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

SW, hope work was ok and students behaved, lol
Moneyfritter, long time no see and sounds like all is well.
Vix, happy jobhunting and hope its successful
3dogs, hope you managed to get your medication from the walk in centre, did u have to go right into the city centre for it? Hope the grants and monies will be forthcoming, and if they dont, have you thought about writing to your MP? I hear they sometimes can put a bit of pressure on things being put into motion?
hugs to everyone else i may have missed and hope everyone has had a good day. would like to point out that there was a promo change on frozen dept at Mr T's last night. anyone buying the enigma cornetto's on RTD will find that they are now half price. one item to mention is Brains faggots, a pack of 6 in west country sauce (is this gravy?) is reduced to £1
