Hello again gang - we are watching England v Ireland at cricket World Cup - looks like England could turn a win into a loss at the moment but we will see
My friend got her blood test after a long wait - very busy when we went , and then we picked up Mr 3Dogs from the auction
Mr 3Dogs managed to get a built-in wardrobe for £24 plus commission this morning plus 3 lots of mixed lots for £2 each, so was well pleased. The fitted unit has been dismantled from a house and everything is there - the interior with shelves/rails, 3 doors, one of which is part mirrored, and is in a beech finish. This will go in out bedroom beautifully, when we can get it fittedWe already had a set of the rails and a pair of sliding doors in white finish, which we had got in with other things at the auction over the past few months, but this is the whole thing and a better style, so delighted with it, and Mr 3Dogs will now sell the other bits we have, plus our wardrobes/drawers that we currently use, so should cost £0 with any luck :j :j

Remember the book fair purchase that ripped me off £6yesterday. Picks DD up. "Mam, Mam can we go to the book fair again, I want another book" She got short shrift from me I can tell you!
How can a kid who isn't spoilt.. be spoilt! Time for a pocket money tin I think. She can fund her own wants when she has some pennies. Bloddy kids.
I wonder when we will tell the girls we were bankrupt? We will, as part of money education but when.. eek.
Did I ever tell the story about Bank Holiday last year?
I was lying in bed with her at bed time just chatting telling her that Daddy didn't have to go to work on Monday as it was a Bank Holiday. She got all excited and said "So what we gonna do on Bankrupt Holiday"
She's six and obviously heard the word in discussions at home. I was mortified :rotfl: Explained that bankrupts were people who had no money and pulled out a coin that was in my pocket.. look Mammy has some money. :rotfl:
Many people know about our BR but it's not something you want your 6 year bandying about
Was I saying anything in particular? Why break the habit of a life time eh?
Won't be online later as off to ikea. Don't want anything just a cuppa, a natter and a piece of cake0 -

That would be fab if you can offset it !And a nice bedroom to boot (pardon the pun, was it a pun or my bizarre humour :rotfl: )
I need to get myself to a boot fair, went a few weeks back but a bit too icky for the parking on the mud. Does Mr3Dogs think it's worthwhile going to fairs midweek? The Sunday one is always chocca, I often wonder if the Thursday one would be worth going to.0 -

There's only one way to find out, he said :rotfl: :rotfl: It will be quieter, with less stalls and less buyers too, still every chance to find a bargain, so I'd say go for it Miche - anyway, a nice trip out for you all in the holidays perhaps??
Luckily, our car boot/market is mainly on hard standing or gravel., with Friday's being mainly indoors. We used to do them on grass but can get very messy and I've seen many a car get stuck in a muddy field

A friend of ours borrowed his mate's JCB (he works as a handiman on a farm) and was earning quite a tidy sum pulling the cars out of the mud through the winter. All voluntarily contributions but he was seething when he did that for people and they didn't tip him :rotfl:steviehants wrote: »Now who mentioned CAKE?:eek:0 -
