Sorry guys - switched off the laptop, talked to Mr 3Dogs on the phone, and then watched Lambing Time Live - I think, was it Vix that mentioned it last week? It was fantastic - I love these farming programmes and the lambs were gorgeous - well worth watching. Afterwards I had my hot chocolate and cereal supper - and guess what? ............................ I haven't had any 'Monday night treats' I did plan to call at A!di on way home from seeing Mam and pick up some ice cream and white chocolate buttons but talked myself out of it ......... quite proud of myself actually. so I just had a jacket potato, a tomato and some pilchards in tomato sauce for my dinner, and a 'light' cereal bar a little later, then my normal supper :j :j :j :j

    Hi Boult

yes, 3Dogs, well done on staying the same weight and resisting treats!

Beanie, are there any supermarkets close to you? See if any have vacancies - even part time and in the main office. As you tire, working part time maybe better for you. Supermarkets should be equal opportunity - so should take you on your work merits and not your disabilities.

And if you get to work for one that gives some kind of discount :D

I do like Puds idea of going self employed and doing admin for people who need it but don't have time. Although how much you will earn this way will depend on your customer base, and you may need to sort out something like a lockable cabinet to store their confidential files in. Or you would have to hand them back, so they are not on your premises and you are not liable if anything happens.

Let me have a think and I will try to post tomorrow.

Thanks boult - yes, we saw our first lambs of the year when Mr 3Dogs drove me over to P'boro for the train on Saturday - twirling their tails while suckling - gorgeous :j :j

Oooh and thanks Aesop too, just seen your post too x

DS was feeling better this afternoon - the immortal words - are we getting ready to go out? meant he was feeling better.

Poor lad was waiting for his dad to come home. But his Dad to work until 7pm! Just couldn't get him to understand that.

Poor boy - glad he is feeling better though - fingers crossed

Right, I am off for a catch up on the DRO thread - I see I have lots of posts to read - one thing that was confirmed last week was that the change that means that pension funds are not now to be included as assets is now set definitely to come in on 6th April - this would allow Mr 3Dogs to apply for his DRO ..... BUT ...... with him going self-employed from 7th March alters everything, so we are going to give it a month or so to work out his average takings and then do a SOA/budget to see if he will still qualify - hoping he still will, but we shall see in a month or two
