Hi all,
Earlier i was on google chrome browsing ebay and the pages in ebay were taking a while to load, what i mean is when i clicked on an item it was taken ages for all the information and photos to appear.
Whilst i was on there i got a popup from Avast to say a Trojan Horse had been blocked. I dont think i have ever had one before. so kinda took me by surprise.
The Infection is a JS downloader AMV (i think) no idea what that is though.
It also says action: Connection aborted.
Is there anything i need to do or has Avast done its job?
I have run a malewarebytes scan and another avast scan but both are ok.
A bit scared to go on anything now

I presume this was the webshield? <--Edit: "abort connection" - yes, webshield
avast has blocked the malware before it reached the browser (and then your pc) so you have nothing to worry about.
JS:Downloader-AMV [Trj] is a javascript infection that would be in a .js file on a website etc. Downloader indicates it will download more...not sure what the AMV is...-Scott-

I am running Avast, and it does quarantine anything it finds. You then have a choice whether to delete it or leave it in the "Virus chest" - which I do.
I run Malwarebytes daily, and I have noticed, that Avast and Malwarebytes are picking up much more over the last month. I have done three complete system scans.
I am beginning to hate computers, and the people who try to wreck them.0
