Virgin Credit Card Change in Minimum Payment Calculation

We have had numerous threads regarding this matter.

At the moment people are pretty much in limbo.

It seems it is ok for this to happen. The best bit of advice really is to do whatever it takes to make the new payments, whilst putting in a complaint.

If enough complaints are received then it might force mbna and/or the regulators to look into the change and it might end up with some sort of alternative, such as being able to close the card down and pay it at the old terms, which at least won't impact your credit rating for years.

Agree 100%. I would much rather so-called "consumer organisations" take up this one than moan on about airline booking fees or whatever.

Unfortunately to justify their existence they have to play to an audience. Everyone loves to hate the Ryanair types. But it's evident from these threads that few have sympathy for people in this situation.

I phoned them this evening and I need to phone back on Tuesday to talk to them about a payment plan, as I can not afford to pay the new amount.

I just love the way they are not willing to help until after the bank holiday and the account review team only open 9-5 Monday to Friday which is when we are all at work.

What a nightmare
