Want to check I am paying the correct car tax band... anyway to check model and band?

I have a

Vauxhall Agila 1.2 Petrol

04 plate

When i taxed it last year i was surprised by the road tax i had to pay, it was the same as an older 1.6 Astra I had before.

Anyway you can check my tax band online?

many ive looked at only give details for newer Agila models.

You could try wisebuyers used car prices, they list co/2 emmision figures find your car, click on specs, compare two models one of which is your model and you will see C02 specs.

My initial finding suggests that it should be 151 g/100km

Where did you get your figures from?

Also OP, you could look in the car's user manual.

You can also ask Vauxhall UK.

You can also look for an exact match on autotrader, then do a "vehicle enquiry" with the reg no. To see what others exactly like yours are registered as.

Any wonder why i paid £85.25 last year for 6 months?!

Looking at those stats... if i have the 04 plate then i should be paying less...is that correct?

Unfortunately i dont have the reg papers with me at the moment (i borrowed the car from my father in la, but have now bought it off him so will get them soon)

looks like you have this model ,seems like the exact month and year is important for the tax band

If OP has an 04 plate that is reg March 2004 - Sept 04 so he should be on the figure I quoted which is 151 g co2 100km which is or was, £85.25

I dont have the log book here...but checking my insurance docs. it says its a

Agila Design 16v 2004

so judging by the above figures what band should i be in?
