i have a quite old panasonic home theatre system without an aux or line input, and when the grand children come round they want to play their ipods and mp3s through it.
can i connect their cable to the earphone socket and play it through there? or is there another way round this problem.
thanks in advance

No, that'll be an output only. Do you have the model number handy?"...IT'S FRUITY!"0

Have you used both the VCR and TV red and white sockets? If not you could use a lead like this. Plugged in to one of the spare inputs.

If they are both used, and you have, say a VCR plugged into the VCR input socket, then you could use the same lead to plug into the input of the actual VCR and then select AV3 or whatever it's called on the VCR and play the MP3 'through' the VCR."...IT'S FRUITY!"0 -
What else have you already connected ?
If for example you have nothing connected re-use the TV [ red & white } plugs for the iPODDisclaimer : Everything I write on this forum is my opinion. Whatever you do, start with the volume level on the iPod on the minimum as they are line level inputs and you're using an amplified output on the iPod.0
