MP3/iPod advice please.

Sorry if I sound a bit thick but what I know about these things you could write on the back of a stamp!!

I am looking for an MP3/iPod with approx 32g.

I want one that will allow me to copy my own cd's onto it via my pc. not by using itunes or similar.

I don't want to use it for anything else but music, no photos or videos.
Any advice and recommendations greatly appreciated.

Creative Zen will do that and it also comes with an SD card slot so if you run out of space, unlike ipods you can buy a card. There's a direct 'rip CD audio' option that comes with the software.

I have a Creative Zen and love it - you know there's a but coming- But the SD card is not integrated into the player.

Yes you can play songs from the SD card, but you can't bookmark, auto-restart, make playlists etc. I use it to hold DVD rips.

The big plus for me about the Zen is that it's so easy to Sync from Windows Media Player.
