Does it include charges for cheques?

I'm just about to start this claiming charges thingie as soon as I get to a printer. Just wanted to ask if charges due to bounced cheques were covered? I was a student from 1999 to 2002 and had some bounced cheques in that time. When I went to the bank to try to sort out a way to pay back my debts, they told me that writing cheques I couldn't cover was illegal. Is it? And if it is, can I still claim this back?

Yes. Any charge that is made as a penalty because of you breaching contract. Paid referral, direct debit bounce, unauthorised overdraft and unpaid items. Good luck.0
