Permanent light in loft space

We live in a 10 year old 3 bed semi and are wanting to change our heating system to a combi in the loft. To do this we will need to have a permanent light in the loft - does anyone have any idea how much we should be looking at for an electrician to do this please?
Thank you!

A permanent 13amp supply will need to be run into the loft to power the boiler anyway. The additional cost of running a light in will not be very much. Ask whoever is doing the electrics for the boiler.
Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.
  • Thanks for that - I was going to get the same person to do them both, I just wanted to get an idea of what I may be looking at paying extra. Would you say about £100-£150 for wiring the boiler and the light (We're in the North)?

It would not cost much or take very long to install a light in a loft. It is probably the easiest electrical job that any electrician could possibly have.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

You already have a lighting circuit running across your loft floor to serve the floor below, so it's simply a matter of running a spur or extending from that.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
