  • Is the book wet all the way through or just a few pages? Depending on how wet it is, can you carefully peel pages apart and put kitchen roll between them to soak up the excess water? The book should be saveable if a bit crinkly when dry!

TBh, you may find that the k roll will stick to the wet pages. When this happened to me, I stood the book up on it's end and had as many of the pages open as possible IYKWIM. Like if it's on display in a shop. The pages will dry without sticking together this way.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I drop books in the bath occasionally. I dry them as rosie suggests....over a radiator if its on....they get crinkly and crisp but are fine.

Oh nightmare. I dropped last month's Good Food magazine into the bath recently and it was absolutely soaked through, I ended up drying it off with a hairdryer. It's a bit wrinkled but still perfectly readable and the pages haven't stuck together.
  • Oh no! I popped some kitchen roll between them, I hope it works I'm not at home till tomorrow! Still managed to pull the recipe from it though :) Thanks for all your help.

It's a lovely idea to be helpful in this way, honest; but there's that teensy weensy itsy bitsy matter of copyright to think about. When the Forum Team see it they will delete it. Sorry.
