Help with watching videos full-screen

Hello, hoping someone can help. Recently when trying to watch iplayer or YouTube videos online, when going for the "full screen" option, my computer monitor just goes blank. I can still hear sound, just can't see anything. Is this likely to be the fault of the monitor or could it be some setting on my computer that needs adjusting? It used to work OK until recently.

mine does the same , have never worked out why . BBC Iplayer and others work full screen and running the latest version of FlashEx forum ambassador
