Where on the screen are the three bars that web rep uses to tell you if a website is ok supposed to appear,havent seen anything on my computer.

It's near the address bar for the site you are on, and next to search results on Google etc.
They seem to be mostly greyed out at the moment though. Problems at Avasts end apparently according to a post on their forum.

Avast mention missing icons ( mine are just grey ), so it may just be a case of waiting for them to sort it out.
You can check the plug in is installed in Avast by looking in "additional protection".
FWIW in the couple of days I've used it, it needs time to mature. There are too many unrated or not many votes results. I've much more faith in WOT at the moment.0 -
