Does anyone use the Royal Mail "Fast Drop" Service?

    it might be they are scanned on the MC machines.so wouldnt update until collected and sorted in at the mail centre

    Fast Drop probably sounded great on a Powerpoint presentation at HQ. It's not survived contact with the old bessums behind the typical PO counter!

    same with many RM ideas
    like a part implementation of poor quality PDAs
    or retaining a 1pm target for special delivery,but having staff on duties that finish at 2 or 3pm
  • I'm a bit confused - on the RM website it states that you need a stamped certificate of posting in the need of making a claim for an undelivered/lost item in the post.

    What is the equivalent for Fast Drop, and is this proof going to be acceptable at a Post Office in order to make a successful claim as opposed to a Certificate of Posting?

    When you take the items to the PO you need to wait for your items to be receipted. The 'fast drop' is a bit of a misnomer, as in most branches you would even still have to queue in the main queue to drop off your items.
