They'll only die if they get frosted

And you reckon they won't get frosted between now and May?

    Oops, so you did.

Just noticed from another post that you live in Cornwall - 300 miles further south than me! Makes a difference, eh?

I've only sown 5 seeds of courgettes

unless you have a massive family you'll find 2 plants enough and still have spare to give away!

I sow 3, one for the slugs and snails, one for us and one as a back up.
you will be picking around 4 a week and by the end of the summer even courgette muffins won't be appealing;)

But the fact they are £2 a kilo in the supermarkets surely helps ;-)
  • I grow about 8 courgette plants each year, give quite a few away but still use a fair amount. I pickled loads last year and we are still eating them on pizzas and as a relish - can't wait to be able to sow them again. But far too early here in the Midlands.

I grow at least 10 plants, feed 3 or 4 adults, and in the words of Depeche Mode "I just can't get enough".

This seems to have a bit off topic from original thread - I'm referring to courgettes.
