Yep, I was very careful to drill for the plugs only in the mortal lines sp it can be 'made good' very easily with no damaged bricks.
I like the idea of obscure glass like Ormus says.
It was a joke about the screw holes but speaking from experience I can tell you it is a little annoying if you next door neighbour starts drilling holes in your property without even bothering to ask. Especially when the next thing he does is suspend his overgrown shrubs from my fence that is exposed to wind & came apart a few years back narrowly missing his conservatory.
Hence all of his shrubs ended up on the floor when I cut the ties & so did his hanging baskets.
