I'm an australian working in the UK and want to know if I should be transfering savings to Australia. How do I figure out the best option?

You are asking an impossible question.
Most of us know UK interest rates. Very few of us know Australian Interest rates. Presumably you know both, and so that puts you ahead!
Only you know if you have appropriate savings accounts back in Oz and/or whether you can open them while you are not living there.
That leaves the consideration of the currency risk. None of us can guide you as to UKP/AUD rate movements in the future.
Only you know in which currency you might wish to spend the money.0 -
You are I assume a non-dom so you may well get a lower tax answer by keeping savings outside of the UK.0
