In the same way that PPCs rely on drivers to read, understand and accept their signs perhaps we should produce our own to be displayed as a sticker in the windows of our vehicles.
It would state that we totaly reject their unreasonable charges and will instead charge them £50 to open every letter they send. (Note, I only say open, we still would ignore). It could also go on to warn clampers that by attaching anything to our vehicles they agree that we may use any method, including angle grinders to regain the use of our vehicles. They would also be agreeing to paying us a charge of £10 for every minute that our vehicle is immobilised along with all costs involved in hiring an angle grinder.
Obviously to get all of the text on the sticker the font may have to be rather small and difficult to read if you're a bit of a retard in a hi viz jacket.
Just a thought...............

Yes, I like that idea.

Someone on here or pepipoo forum has a note on their windscreen saying 'Place Unenforceable Invoice Here' which I am tempted to use when parking at the local Supermarket.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Good idea but it would be as unenforceable as theirs! Could be fun in court though see who has the best contract?0

Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -

Just to shift it from a penalty, could you charge for the opening and reading of the letter, based on average wages (about £28k, at 40 hrs that's £13.46/hr) minimum 1 hour charge. That way they have contracted you to read their letters.0 -
"If I hear anything back other than "this invoice has been cancelled" I shall assume that you have accepted the terms of the contract and will pay me £100"
