cheap hotel in bournemouth???

Hi all,
I'm just trying to find a cheap hotel for my husband to stay in overnight on tuesday 1st march - wednesday 2nd march.
He has a business meeting at dudsbury golf club (bournemouth) on the wednesday morning. They have a hotel there but its 90 quid for the night!
If anyone can point me in a cheaper direction i would be grateful.

Thanks in advance
Asquiths

    Hi Asquiths

my daughter and I stayed at the Meyrick park golf club in the lodge rooms

breakfast was included when we stayed and we paid £60 per night.

I just checked if they have rooms available on your date and it is showing as £24 night !!!

the rooms are fine ,pics are on the web site ,just google them.,it is as the name says located in a golf club so you also have full use of their health club which incidentally we didnt have time to use ,as daughter was visiting local uni,
ther is also a club house bar that sells reasonable priced food.
    hope this helps

Is your hubby driving? Dudsbury Golf Course is a fair old poke from central Bournemouth where the uni is, it's in Ferndown, exact location pinpointed HERE and taxis from central bornemouth to there could be over £20 per trip and public transport to there is not regular, nor does it stop close by iirc.

I don't know much about hotels, but if you google hotels in Ferndown you get a few answers, including the City Lodge which is right by the dudsbury golf course, the link is for a laterooms price calculator. Still not the cheapest but better than £90!

There's a premier inn at Tricketts cross, but if hubby isn't driving I don't know how much a taxi would be.

  • Thanks for the advice guys

Yeah hubby is driving so aslong as he stays somewhere within a few miles of dudsbury golf club then it will be fine.

Just googled the meyrick park golf club that looks ok.

Hubby is a turf consultant so he could maybe try and get abit of work there too! :j
